Question World Clock time zone anomoly

I have the time on my 650 set to use the network time, which displays correctly (I'm in Arizona, which is technically Mountain Time, but Arizona DOES NOT observe Daylight Savings, so in the summer months we are Pacific Time for all intents and purposes). In World Clock I have two additional times zones selected: Washington, D.C. (Eastern Time, 3 hours ahead of me at present, 2 hours ahead during Standard Time) and Hong Kong (15 hours ahead of me at present, 14 hours during Standard Time; 12 hours ahead of D.C. all the time). However, the D.C. time displayed is only 2 hours ahead of me (thus, the displayed time is actually 1 hour behind) and the Hong Kong time is displayed as 14 hours ahead of me (thus, like D.C., the displayed time is actually 1 hour behind).

For example, this is what it should read:
    My Time-Arizona - Tuesday, 10:52 p.m.
    Washington, D.C. - Wednesday, 1:52 a.m.
    Hong Kong - Wednesday, 1:52 p.m.

However, my actual display is as follows:
    My Time-Arizona - Tuesday, 10:52 p.m.
    Washington, D.C. - Wednesday, 12:52 a.m.
    Hong Kong - Wednesday, 12:52 p.m.

Although I have the network time enabled, I am certain I recall setting up Scottsdale somewhere (other than in DB5/6) as "Mountain Time, does not observe DST." But maybe I'm dreaming.

Anyone know what's going on here? Have a solution?

    Thanks!

Open World Clock, tap the Menu > Utilities > Time Calculator and then when that screen opens tap the circle with the i in the upper right corner (for Info); you'll see the answer at the end of the Info list.
Experience is what you get when you thought you were getting something else.

Also, within the app make sure that none of the other places have DST or similar set incorrectly.

From the help window you referenced:

"Note that the Time Calculator displays non DST times for the period when the location is coming out of DST. This may not match the actual times shown in the clock for that period."

First, I'm not sure I understand this fully. What does "when the location is coming out of DST" mean?

Second, this seems to be referring specifically to the Time Calculator feature. Yet when I select my location in this feature to compare it to my two alternate locations, THE CORRECT TIMES ARE SHOWN FOR ALL. Why is it that the Time Calculator shows them all correct, but the clock shows them incorrect? Yes, the help file says that the Time Calc and clock may show differently, but if that's the case I would think it would be the opposite of what I am showing (i.e., clock is correct, Time Calc is incorrect).

Forgive my ignorance here, but what am I missing?

BTW, I did double check and all of my cities are setup correctly with reference to DST, etc.

    Still confused...

Maybe you'd be better off uninstalling the app, re-installing and re-configuring?

First, I don't see World Clock listed in FileZ, Launcher X's delete list, nor the native Palm Applications delete list. Isn't this one of the preloaded apps? Second, I'm leary about doing this because of a number of other posts I've read about users loosing their world maps when installing/reinstalling/upgrading World Clock.

Your call entirely. For your info, I can elect to send World Clock to ZLauncher's trash bin, so it may not be invincible (but I can't see it in Uninstall Manager either). I haven't got my install CD with me, but I think you may well be right about it being a preloaded app, though.

I think I have my CD handy, so I'll see if it is there. Think just reloading it w/o uninstalling will be okay?

Yup, although it'd be best to uninstall it entirely first but, if you can, you might as well see if this approach fixes things.
