Cool, let your kid have it and see what happens!

KidZone Home Launcher appears on the Market as incompatible with both my Mini and my GP5. The "Lite" version, which allows only one app at a time in the sandbox, is also incompatible. However, the app can be downloaded directly from the developer's site. I'm hesitant to install a security app that's marked as incompatible, so I wrote to the developer asking about this. I'll post his reply.
EDIT: Email bounced back, the reply domain rejected it, according to google. On the developer's website there is no other way to contact them. Maybe I'll risk installing the Lite version on one of my devices and test it. Has anyone used this program?Last edited by raspabalsa; 03-02-2012 at 12:51 PM.

Deleting my credit card from my Google Wallet account seems to have deleted my whole wallet account. I tried to purchase from within the game again and it sent me to the Market, where I was informed that adding a credit card would create a wallet account. I didn't add one, and won't do it until I really need to purchase an app again. In the future I'll try to purchase directly from the developer's page. I don't like carrying money on my devices, not one little bit.

UPS texted me that my e4gt was delivered. My 9-yr old son is home from school and brought the package into the house. I don't get home until 5 or 6. Do you think I should worry about a little thing like unauthorized app purchases?

Re: How can I make it impossible for my kids to purchase apps when they play with my Android devices?
Funny, I was just about to revive this thread... I guess spammers can do some good every now and then
I just found that the PIN safety is not as secure as it should be. Last night I was purchasing a program, and I was not prompted to enter the PIN. Checking Google Play's settings, no PIN is set on my Galaxy Player, even though I did set it back when I started this thread. Here's my theory: since I'm using a non-stock density of 190, I usually run into Google's "incompatibilities", forcing me to return to stock 240, and clear Google Play's data on my device whenever I want to update certain programs. Seems that the PIN is stored in this data, so it's cleared along with my Google Play's account settings.
So now, every time I do the density thingie I must remember to set the PIN restriction again, else the store is wide open to unwanted purchases. I've been playing with a loaded gun all these past weeks!raspabalsa
