    - In place of TealDoc, Moon+. This is a great, full featured ereader. I tried Aldiko, which was ok, but not any where close to TealDoc. Moon+ has all the customisations of TealDoc and more.

    Welcome to Android, Dan!

+1 for KeyPassDroid. Can't beat it when it's free -- all versions of it. I was getting tired of the "free" PDA app, but then having to fork out $25 for the desktop version.

I really, really, really tried to stay with Pimilical after I moved on to Android, but I just had too many issues. I haven't been following the project's development lately, so I don't know if he's addressed the issues, but if he's still relying on the Android Calendar for syncing, then it's still a no-go for me.

I use CalenGoo, and it's actually a lot like Datebk with a cleaner user interface, menus, etc. It also syncs directly with Google Calendar (bypassing the issue plagued Android Calendar Sync), so I rarely have issues with my calendar now. The developer is VERY responsive, too.

For email I use K-9 Mail -- I really like it's message handling capabilities better than the various "stock" email apps.

For shopping lists, notes, etc., I use NoteEverything. FYI, they have a lot of import/export/conversion utilities. I was able to bring my old Palm notes right in.

For my old eReader PDB books (have quite a few of them), I was thinking things were going to be great when my wife's Android based Nook reader could read them just fine (when sideloaded), but when I tried the Nook app for Android on my phone and tablet, I discovered that the app could NOT read the old eReader books. I decided that was ridiculous since B&N bought out eReader/FictionWise, so I used Calibre and some other eBook conversion software to convert the books to ePub, and didn't feel the slightest bit guilty about doing it. Now I just buy and/or download all my eBooks in epub format.

Did you have to uninstall your Palm software?

Not sure if I understand the question, but since I don't use any of my Palm devices much anymore, I haven't had Palm software on my PC for quite a while.

I tried Calibre to convert a PBD file to epub. When I try to open the converted book it brings up the Palm files and want to sync. So it does not appear that the files got converted. I tried watching the Calibre video on their website but it is corrupted and therefore useless. Is there a quick way to determine if the files are DRM protected?

Anything that you bought from the eReader.com is DRM protected. Something more simple than Calibre is the following website:

Free ePub Converter - PDF To ePub - Convert Books to ePub Format

This will allow you to easily convert NON-DRM eBooks (a variety of formats) to ePub format, which can be read by Nook, Nook app, iPad, (at least some) Sony Readers, etc. If this site can't convert it, then chances are it's DRM protected. I've never uploaded a DRM protected book to try it, so I don't know what type of message you'll get back, or if they just send the FBI to your house, etc. (haha! ?????)

I'll also PM you a link you might find useful, so check your private messages here.

Thanks for this link! I have it downloaded and will give it a try. I got your PM and think I probably will have to try and strip the DRM first.

Some great ideas! I have installed Note Everything, and imported all my Palm memos - over 1Mb as simple text! It is great!

One thing I have not found is a good ToDo list I had used ShadowPlan from CodeJedi. This is a hierarchal ToDo list, with many options. I have seen several good ones, but none that are hierarchal.

btw, Dancing Droid Android replacements for your favorite Palm OS Applications | Dancing Droid made my conversion much easier.

    Check out List Master Pro.

Amazon's Free App Of The Day is Butter Lion Memo. No idea how good it is, but it's free!
