... Likely a kernel issue from what I've read, but still lost.
My go to advice to people used to be to try a different kernel, come to think of it. As to picking one, it's always trial and error, sadly. They are voted on, and I always look for the ones with more positive than negative votes, and you can also view the comments as well, but in the end, just because someone has the same phone as you and is having trouble doesn't mean you'll have trouble too.

The 8/19 kernel is the one included. I might start with the 0809 and work back from there. Several recent ones have a positive reputation.

Okay, nothing else is coming to mind. I'm posting the issue now to the frx7 thread, in case you aren't registered at xdandroid.
    Thanks. Not registered.

Just to be sure (no offense intended by the obviousness of the question), you did specifically know there were incoming calls you weren't receiving, right? Did you call yourself?
I called myself. I was also told I missed 3 calls this morning at 2am. No calls logged. Got a txt message after the calls.

They might want logs that include a period when you had an incoming call eventually, which you can procure using the getlogs.apk found in the /AndroidApps/Other (can installed by moving that apk to the AndroidApps root folder before booting, that will install it automatically during the boot). They may not ask, just giving you a head's up.
Righto... I'll look into that if they need more info.

EDIT: An experiment to try before ditching frx7, care of arrrgggh.

I'm almost happy someone else is experiencing this bug.

What I would like both of you to do is grab the RIL from FRX06+ and shoehorn it into FRX07.1, and see if it improves. If it does, I probably need to downgrade the RIL that is in 7.1, because evidently the newest RIL has introduced a new bug... I'm still baffled as to why it only effects some, but this should fix it for good.

I'm at work right now, and can't seem to find an image from FRX06+, but if you folks can find an older version of the RIL that works with FRX07, just bind mount it using the froyo.user.conf file.

    mount --bind /sdcard/libhtcgeneric-ril.so /system/lib/libhtcgeneric-ril.so
That last line can be added to the listed of commands at the end of the user.conf file found in your conf directory, in the custom commands section. It assumes the ril.so file is in the root of your sd card.

    EDIT: Ril link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6838526/libhtcgeneric-ril.so

My logs don't even show that a call is even coming in, nothing at all, nada, zilch. Although the past few days it appears to be better, but for how long who knows. And I've tried everything to get it to work right. The screwed up thing is that FRX06 works fine for me and hyc's FRX06+ build does as well. Hopefully someone can figure something out on it, but what are they to look at to fix it since the logs don't show squat.
A build issue, not a kernel issue. It sounds like you stumbled on an interesting problem. Been on IRC with the devs now for a few minutes and they are eager to find out if that ril works if you're willing to try it. Since fishingmedic's setup has started working intermittently, your test may be the one that confirms whether the issue can be fixed by rolling back some ril changes.

Ok, I'm wrapping up at work. It will be a bit before I get home, and can fuss with it a bit. That, and try to decipher everything you just quoted. I'm quite good at Windows lingo, but barely beyond novice in Linux.

Found the XDA thread. I do have an account there.. but zero posts (need 10 non fluff posts before I can post there)... so I can't directly communicate in the thread. But, at least I see where you're talking now.

I have not forgotten this thread, or my to-do list. However, I have been in a position where I have had to have my phone working at all times these past few days. I guess you could say this is one downfall of only having a cell, and no other phone. So, I've been unable to test this. Hope to be able to tinker with it soon!

Hard to test incoming calls, when my test device isn't active. Let alone, when I'm at home, how can I call my cell if all I have is my cell. :P
Got both my Pro and 755.

You make a good point. Don't you hate it when work gets in the way of monkeying with personal technology?
