I just ordered a new Compaq Aero 1550 from Amazon.com. I was wondering, does it come with its own case? I have been reading some of the other posts on this board, and I am a bit confused. I ordered a separate case for it from amazon.com as well, but do I need it if the Aero comes with its own perfectly adequate case? If at all possible, it would be great if someone could post a picture of it here or email it to me (mc-laren@mail.com).
    Thanks so much!

I don't have a picture, but let me try to describe it. The case that comes with it is a slip-in case that is open at the top and has a hard plastic "plate" in the front that protects the screen. It fits very snugly around the the Aero with about 1/4" of the machine sticking out so you can remove it. If you plan to carry it around in your pocket, this is probably as large a case as you want. If you are going to stick it in a bag or some other type of thing that will be knocked around, you probably want a more protective case.

I purchased the Sumdex leather zip-up case with interior card slots (business, not memory)on Amazon.com for less than $10 and it was perfect. I can put the velcro sticky on the back of my Compaq slip-in case and put the whole thing inside the Sumdex and zip it up. If I need to carry the Aero in my pocket, I simply remove the slip-in case from the larger zip case.
